Grouping of ephemera concerning the service of Joseph Kennedy, Sr. as Ambassador of the United States to Great Britain from March, 1938 until October, 1940. Lot of about 15 letters, invitations, photos, etc. related to Joseph Kennedy's service as Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Included is a Mar. 29, 1938 letter from the London Consul to the Asst. Secretary of State describing the upheaval in the embassy following Kennedy's arrival; invitations to dinners honoring Kennedy; three retained copies of later letters from Consul Erhardt to Kennedy mention John F. Kennedy and the loss of Joseph Kennedy, Jr.; a copy of a letter from Erhardt to Joe Kennedy, Jr. on visiting Berlin in 1939; a few photos and clippings, etc.
